I am rereading A Summmer to Remember. The scene in which Kit and Syd reconcile with Lauren’s help still brings me to tears. I don’t have the best words, but Mary Balogh digs so deeply into the poignancy of their past, that it feels as if one is physically present for their exchange. All of her books invite you into the world and characters that she creates and let you live their lives.
