Dear Mary Balogh,

I have only just discovered your works less than two weeks ago. Since then, I have read six of your novels and am halfway through my seventh. They have filled me with joy, excitement, sadness, and anger – but only in the best of ways. They have been something of medicine for me. Your stories fill me with hope and delight. As I grow older, I start to wonder when one leaves youth and if one ever does. Even in the modern world, I sometimes worry about the passing of time. I see these thoughts and worries reflected in your characters. And, I see the romance and happiness that still awaits, no matter how old and no matter the circumstance. Thank you so much for your books and the light you bring into your worlds and our shared one.
